Help for Individuals

We provide confidential telephone advice, free of charge, to people who witness wrongdoing at work but are not sure whether or how to raise their concern. If you are in this position, we will help you identify how best to raise your concern, while minimising any risk to you and maximising the opportunity for any wrongdoing to be addressed. For more information, see our Guide to the Helpline.

In April 2008 we won a competitive tender to provide advice to all NHS staff and whistleblowing policy support across the NHS. To read more about our work with the NHS and the help we provide click here.

Since 1993, we have advised on over 10,000 actual and potential whistleblowing concerns – stopping crime, tackling frauds and abuse in care, and averting countless legal claims and disputes. To see how our clients have done this, please visit the Case Studies section.

If you are thinking of ringing us for advice and you want to know the sort of information we are likely to ask, see Helpline Questions.

This website provides helpful information about the UK’s whistleblowing law, the Public Interest Disclosure Act, in our Law section. Although we do not take cases or represent clients, we are happy to give our opinion on any unclear or difficult point under the Act to individuals or their advisers.

Telephone advice (020 7404 6609) is available 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday or please email on helpline@pcaw.co.uk
