Whistleblowing Best Practice
Summer 2008 saw the publication of an informal standard on how to set up, run and review effective whistleblowing arrangements. The document was commissioned from Public Concern at Work by the British Standards Institute under a DTI / BERR scheme. As well as drawing on our unrivalled practical experience, the document has been overseen by an expert steering group and is currently being reviewed by a wide range of interested parties and practitioners.
We are pleased that single use copies of the document can be obtained for free.
Under Key Documents, you can find more helpful information about what constitutes good practice on whistleblowing. As well as its report on whistleblowing arrangements for financial firms, the Financial Services Authority has additional material on its website which can be found there by searching for ‘whistleblowing’.
